Inklink is illustration and communication Studio Inklink is founded on the expertise of Simone Boni and Alessandro Rabatti, who coordinate a large group of collaborators |

Museums
Since Inklink was founded in 1995, our collaboration with Italian and foreign publishing houses, museums, natural and archaeological parks, regional and local authorities, and superintendencies has shown the scientific accuracy of our work.
Inklink has created an internal department specializing in illustrated outreach projects for exhibitions and museums, and has managed the creation of historical reconstructions, learning and multi-media projects, participating in new forms of communication.
Our graphical reconstructions, thanks to a combination of different skills, and the creativity of our team (architects, illustrators, 3D designers, graphic artists), take shape only after a process including site visits, analysis of the data and materials supplied by our client, and a detailed study of the historical/natural context.
Inklink unites the traditional archaeological reconstruction with modern means of communication, inserting it in multi-media displays, video animations, or dvds, alongside 3D reconstructions.
The graphical reconstructions can be enlarged to “architectural” dimensions, and can be inserted in publications or visual panels, providing images to accompany more detailed didactic materials.

Fiction
This has always been the genre which allows each individual illustrator to find their own style.
Within the studio, work on fiction provides an opportunity to develop our own individual projects with the added quality provided by team work.
Fiction is fundamental, not only to nourish the creativity of individual illustrators, but also to allow them to get it out of their heads and put it down on paper before it leads to genuine madness...

Non Fiction
The illustrations which we have created over time are not just stylistic exercises, nor are they born from a need to make “pretty pictures”: they are a result of an awareness that illustration has the task of communicating contents in ways that other media such as photography or writing cannot. Illustrations are always comprehensible regardless of aesthetic pleasure
Every project is an opportunity to start studying again. For us, study means analysing each image continuously to check its effectiveness. Our final goal thus evolves constantly, striving for integration with new means of communication whilst maintaining the sensitivity and originality which characterize the world of illustration

Comics
Although for many of Inklink’s illustrators, cartoons have formed the subject of long hours of serious study, this is mainly a game for all of us. A way of expressing ourselves quickly and freely, without inhibitions or constraints. A way of creating a world where skies can be violet, and girls are always naked!

Gallery
Welcome to the Inklink art gallery. You won’t find any bulky catalogues or detailed critical studies: we created this space to express ourselves without limitations. We broke down a wall in this site to create another room, a place to share ideas, insights, dreams and nightmares...
Everyone’s projects and ideas end up here, an open space like the physical space of the Inklink studio. An open space, projected towards new creative achievements...
