The fine line between myth and archaeological hypothesis in the tale of Romulus and Remus is investigated in the exhibition held in the Baths of Diocletian, Rome. The excavations on the Palatine hill led by the archaeologist Carandini are analysed, accompanied by historical iconography, archaeological reconstructions and scenes evoking the myth in an almost magical way. |
