Butrint National Park

Butrint National Park

Title

Butrint National Park

Project description

The ruins of Butrint are Albania’s only UNESCO world heritage site. Butrint had contacts with the Mediterranean’s great empires, Greek and Roman, and suffered Turkish, Byzantine and Venetian domination. This history has left its mark on the site in the form of its complex stratigraphy. Our work illustrates the ruins as individual architectural structures transformed over time and shows the changes in the city through history.
